Situation:
Celebration High School is a leading high school located in Osceola County, Florida serving students who live in Disney’s City of Celebration. Educators there wanted to deliver video content to support teaching, tours and related school functions.

Problem:
Available network access would not adequately support the new learning initiatives. Each teacher needed to have the ability to select, sort and present the specific materials in video, screen display and text print out. Teachers also wanted to deliver instructions to students using this technology and manage lesson plans, send and receive email and better manage their files.

Solution:
ESQ designed a single-source system built upon high speed access and Tablet PC’s that allowed each of the teachers to plan their lessons, research their topics and take notes throughout each lesson day. This system allowed constant backup of information so a digital record of the entire year could be maintained and accessed by each teacher. Wireless projectors were also installed in each classroom so group presentations could be made.

Results:
Teachers became excited about their new teaching aids and students responded positively immediately which led to improved learning. Follow-up testing substantiated that increased content recall and overall learning improved significantly. With only one platform to support, costs were lowered overall for the high school.
